The Wine Business - An Eight Week Course
Jump start your dream of starting and operating a
successful wine-related business.


Wine industry leaders and specialists will share and discuss the specific business knowledge and practices demanded by this fast-growing field. This course was originally designed by Phil Woodward, co-founder of the Chalone Wine Group, and enlists over 10 industry professionals as panel members/discussion leaders.
October 2 – November 20, 2008
Topics covered will include:
  • Learning strategies to recognize and make the most of current opportunities

  • Creating a business plan that will attract lenders and investors

  • Marketing, brand development, sales, and distribution

  • Understanding laws specific to the wine industry and how to insure compliance
Weekly sessions will be held 7-9pm Thursdays in
CSUMB’s new Alumni & Vistor Center.
